A warm welcome to 2006! Have you set some clear goals for yourself this year? Remember the “SMART” goal concept. A good goal is Specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely.

3

Why not pick up some positive audio tapes or CDs to listen to this year while traveling in your car? Program your world with the positive.

4

Remove the word “if” from your vocabulary and replace it with “when.” Write down some positive affirmations to inspire you this year.

5

Do you have any relationships that are unhealthy or hurtful in your life? Take a moment today to think about how you could set limits on this relationship in order to improve your well- being.

6

Did you start today by wishing yourself a heart-felt good morning and saying, “Something great is going to happen today.. I can’t wait to see what it is?” Start every day with a Good Morning... click here to subscribe to this free service, written daily by Brook Noel.

7

Make a visit to your favorite book or stationary store today. Treat yourself to an inspirational book. Purchase a blank book to record your goals, affirmations and progress updates throughout 2006.

8

"Faith is the soul's food... one cannot live long without it or live well on just a little." Brook Noel

Take a moment today to connect with God or nature. Find and feel the simple beauty that surrounds you daily.

9

A good night’s sleep is vital to high-performance. A recent study revealed that 7 hours is actually the optimum sleep amount. Make sure to get your zzzs tonight.

10

The second Tuesday of each month has been designated as "Tidy Day." Find as many 10 minute increments as you can, set your timer, and work on those areas of the home (or paper piles) that have been causing you stress.

11

Have you joined the Rush Hour Cook Club? Have a free recipe, tip and trivia delivered daily. To subscribe click here to send a blank email.

13

Say this sentence to yourself 10 times today -

"I am enough."

Multiply its effectiveness by writing it 10 times as well.

14

Cross-Check: Take today to dot your "Is" and cross your "Ts." Back up your computer. Check the batteries in your smoke alarms. Perform a self-breast exam. Focus on advance preparation to avoid problems later.

15

Boredom breeds fatigue. What simple activities can you add to your life to give it more zest?

16

Today take the stairs instead of the elevator. Park a little further back in the parking lot. See how much exercise you can get by not taking shortcuts.

17

Take a moment today to visualize yourself completing one of the goals you have set for yourself in 2006. Imagine how great the accomplishment will feel.

18

Tonight, leave work at work! Don’t bring anything home and don’t let work thoughts impede on your time with family.

19

Make today a T.V.-less day. Use that time to have focused communication with a friend or family member.

20

If you were asked to identity your core values, could you? If not, spend some time reflecting and defining your values.

21

Visit a card shop today and buy and send 5 cards to friends or family you haven’t talked to in a while.

22

Today, try to find reasons to laugh and smile. Renew your heart through laughter.

23

Today is TAKE-A-RISK DAY. Use this Monday to think about something new you have wanted to try or wanted to do. Stop thinking-- and JUMP!

I have a T-shirt in my closet that says, "If you're not living on the edge -- then you're taking up too much space."

A few more thoughts to ponder…

"A man who dares to waste one hour of life has not discovered the value of life."

Charles Darwin

“Gratitude turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” Melody Beattie

Every action in our lives touches on some chord that will vibrate in eternity. Edwin Hubbel Chapin, American Clergyman (1814-1880)

What type of actions will you take today? How will you help others?

One hundred percent of the shots you don't take don't go in. Wayne Gretzky

“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but having new eyes.”

 Marcel Proust
